Episode 23 – Hopping mad

Damien has gained a bit of a reputation for being a hop wimp, so Mark and Todd took it upon themselves to help overcome his fears and expand his palate with some beers that bite. Time for some humulus lupulus crazyness!
I think Damo is still digesting that hop, last I heard.
Now that was fun! Thank you Damien for being a test subject. I can still kick your bum on handeling the hops but you’re a good sport. You may win, though, if we test (girly) fruit beers.
I’m also ecstatic that I can watch your episodes on my iPhone!
Great Ep guys. Kudos to Damien for eating the Chinook flower. If you were able to smoke at Harts he could have smoked it ;P

Boys, A hopping mad challenge for Damien is not complete with out a Murray’s Icon 2IPA if that’s not a challenge i can’t tell you what is!! Your welcome at the brewery anytime for such an event

We’ll just have to lock in a time to head to beautiful Nelson Bay again. It’s a good opportunity to re-fill my growlers as well.
Too many brewers think all they have to do is (over)load the hops and it’s suddenly a great beer; I don’t care how much more it costs you to brew with extra hops—if you blow out every other note with blasts of hoppiness, I think you might as well be drinking paint thinner.
